Didn't look too hopeful in the morning - grey drizzle and not much wind. Cleared up and wind filled in a bit at about 1pm so thought it was worth a go. Didn't seem to be as much breeze as I'd thought - after the first 5 minutes I'd lost several hundred metres downwind. Wishing I'd opted for the Xmas BBQ option from Spooker and giving it one last go things suddenly improved and a was well powered for the next 1.5-2 hours. Enjoying this unseasonably mild air :) First Xmas day kitesurfing and more fun than Xmas day Lazer Dinghy sailing many years back and on a par with walking to the top of Ben Nevis a few years ago.
